Art Blakey - Hard Drive (2023 Remaster)

Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers' Hard Drive is a classic album from the hard bop era. The seven track collection was recorded in New York City in October of 1957 and released on the Bethlehem label in December of that same year. It finds drummer/leader Art Blakey flanked by the likes of Bill Hardman (trumpet), Johnny Griffin (tenor saxophone), Junior Mance/Sam Dockery (piano) and Spanky DeBrest (bass).

Founded back in 1953 by Gus Wildi, Bethlehem Records cemented itself in the jazz culture of the 50's releasing hits from names like Nina Simone, Chris Connors and Carmen McRae.

Heavyweight vinyl produced by BMG for Bethlehem Records in 2023. Remastered 96 kHz/24-bit audio. Made in Canada.
