With the exception of a few upbeat feel-good numbers along the way, the album is a pretty mellow affair, reportedly inspired by Neil Young's timeless Harvest record. Five Days in July is Blue Rodeo's ode to the ecstasies of love and the inevitable sadness of when it leaves.

The album features the singles "Bad Timing", "Hasn't Hit Me Yet", and "5 Days in May".
