Doves - Some Cities

The Doves' Some Cities was conceived as a rawer, stripped-down record, and conceptually touches upon the physical changes of the band's hometown of Manchester, as well as emotional transformations.

In the three years since Last Broadcast, Doves have cultivated a better understanding of their strengths and limitations, and Some Cities beams with a revivified looseness. Like its predecessors, the album comes bearing more than a few certifiable vernal jams.

Some Cities is a turbo charged, sonorous assault; at points crunching and urban, sounding like a midnight high-speed joy ride through the industrial beating heart of their hometown city Manchester.

It features the singles "Black and White Town", "Snowden" and "Sky Starts Falling".
