Elaenia is the debut album by British electronic composer Sam Shepherd, AKA Floating Points. Shepherd had originally conceived the album to contain only one track but eventually cut the music into seven songs, with the title track inspired by a dream that came after reading Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives by American neuroscientist David Eagleman. Shepherd created the artwork for the album by connecting fibre-optic cables to a home made harmonograph.
Featuring "Silhouettes (I, II & III)", "Nespole", and "Peroration Six".
Heavyweight vinyl produced by Luaka Bop.
