Sundown is the ninth studio album by iconic Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot. The only Lightfoot album to reach no.1 on the American pop charts, the 1974 release marked the pinnacle of  Lightfoot's trademark acoustic folk-country before exploring a more overall electric sound on subsequent releases. Features the singles "Carefree Highway" and the chart-topping title track.
