Interpol - Turn On the Bright Lights (Vinyl)

Early '80s postpunk scene definitely was the inspiration behind Interpol's Turn On the Bright Lights. The stunning debut album incorporates so many influences from the likes of Joy Division, Television and Morrissey. It features the singles "PDA", "Obstacle 1", "Say Hello to the Angels" and "NYC".

Turn On the Bright Lights is wrought with emotional disconnection and faded glory, epic sweep and intimate catharsis. Loss, regret, and a minor key brilliantly permeate jangling guitars and rhythmic and tonal shifts. The debut album from the NYC quartet is a filler-free, fully realized statement of intent.
