King Hannah's debut EP Tell Me Your Mind and I'll Tell You Mine is as pleasantly surprising for its sheer confidence and songwriting prowess, as it is for how it experiments with Americana and shoegaze. Highlights include "Creme Brûlée" and "Meal Deal".

This is a place where the lyrics, the singing and the guitar fuse together almost as if they were a single entity, guided by a single mind. The vocals are yearning, but a yearning that stems from resoluteness rather than quiescence. The lyrics are stripped but convey an intense sense of depth. The guitar is at once sweet and flaming. The six track EP is a brilliant start and oozes of potential.
