British singer Laura Mvula returns with her third studio album Pink Noise. The 80s sun-kissed record features the singles "Safe Passage", "Church Girl" and "Got Me". Pink Noise is a booming record with loud drums and thumping bass you can feel in your chest. Her characteristic multi-layered, overlapping vocals are still here, and creating music like this that doesn’t sound like pastiche is easier said than done. It’s an old style but also an exciting new direction.
