Milli Vanilli were one of the most popular dance groups in the late 80s and early 90s, and was formed in Germany by Frank Farian, a music producer who worked with dance-pop groups like Boney M, La Bouche, and No Mercy. Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan became global pop stars overnight - acclaimed, admired, and celebrated by the public, evening winning the GRAMMY for 'Best New Artist' in 1991.

Their career and popularity came to an abrupt end after it was revealed to the public that the group's faces, Rob and Fab, did not actually sing on the album. Instead, the album was created by studio vocalists Brad Howell, John Davis, Jody Rocco, Linda Rocco, and Charles Shaw.
