Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank

We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank is the fifth studio album from Modest Mouse, originally released in 2007. It is the band's only full-length album with former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr as a member. It is also their last album with founding member and bassist Eric Judy. The album has a clear nautical theme and was originally envisioned as a concept album about a boat crew that dies in every song.

The album features the singles "Dashboard," "Missed the Boat," "We've Got Everything," "Little Motel" and "People as Places as People."

Heavyweight double vinyl produced by Epic Records in 2024.
