How I Got Over is the ninth studio album from The Roots. It was originally released in 2010 and was recorded while they were the house band for the talk-show, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. The album drew inspiration from the existentialism of African-American middle class angst and the sound is more somber. There are elements of not only hip-hop, but of rock, soul, funk, and gospel music. Features singles, "Dear God 2.0", and "The Fire".
Heavyweight vinyl produced by Def Jam Recordings in 2023.
