Some Other People - Voices In My Head (Record Store Day)

Voices In My Head exemplifies the dance music scene of 1992. Each of the 8 tracks has something special. You can find deep house, tribal house, funky breakbeat, bleepy electro and techno tracks all appear on this album. Mark Lord, Matt Frost, and Steve Jueno - collectively known as Some Other People - are the creative force behind it, born from diverse musical backgrounds. One is a classically trained musician, another a rock guitarist, and the third a DJ/ drummer.

Despite their musical backgrounds, their synergy in the studio was immediate and natural, resulting in a series of unplanned, organic electronic recordings. They would spend the week collecting ideas, load up their S-3000 samplers, fire up the Sabre mixing desk, and dive into creating the music they wanted to hear. In the early 1990s, they founded Infinite Mass Records, a UK-based progressive house label that became a significant underground presence. From 1992 to 1998, the label released a stream of influential vinyl, building a devoted following across Europe.
