A Light For Attracting Attention is the much-anticipated debut album from The Smile, a supergroup that consists of Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood from Radiohead and Tom Skinner, the drummer from Sons of Kemet.
This project made its entrance with the lead single "You Will Never Work In Television Again," a 2:48 blast of ragged, pulsing raw energy familiar to The Bends era Radiohead. It's since been supported by additional singles like "The Smoke", "Skrting the Surface", "Pana-Vision" and "Free In The Knowledge" each encapsulate different aspects and dynamics of the record. A Light For Attracting Attention was produced by Nigel Godrich and features the London Contemporary Orchestra and a full brass section of UK jazz players.
Exclusive YELLOW double vinyl produced by XL Recordings in 2022. Artwork by Stanley Donwood and Thom Yorke. Gatefold sleeve with printed lyrics.
