Material for The 1996 DEP Sessions was originally recorded in 1996, and was circulated among fans as a bootleg recording dubbed Eighth Star. It was the first set of recordings Tony Iommi and Glenn Hughes did together after working together on Black Sabbath's Seventh Star nearly 10 years prior. This release features 8 tracks of previously unreleased material on vinyl for the first time.
